Eucharistic Ministers of Holy Communion
Do you feel called to help distribute the Holy Eucharist during weekend Masses and/or bring the Holy Eucharist to shut-ins? More than 200 parishioners currently serve in this important mission and more than 40 ministers are needed every single weekend. We would like to invite you to prayerfully consider being trained for this rewarding service to God and others.

Eucharistic Ministry of Holy Communion to the Homebound
If unable to attend Mass and would like to have Communion brought to your home, please contact the parish office to be added to the EMHC to the Homebound list. Incarnate Word Parish is blessed to have more than 10 parishioners who are committed to this rewarding ministry.

Hospitality
Each of us is called to Make God's Love Visible to those joining us for Mass. You may not realize it, but every time you smile and make another parishioner feel welcome, you are already doing it! Incarnate Word has a reputation for being a very friendly parish where visitors feel welcome and members have a sense of belonging.
If you have the gift of hospitality, we'd love for you to join us in any of the following ways:
Greeters: Arrive 20 minutes before Mass begins to greet parishioners and guests. Help with distributing song sheets and MagnifiKids. This is a great opportunity for young families to serve together!
Ushers: Same as Greeters but serve as the lead for Mass and address needs of the congregation including directing the Communion line, managing the collection, and stay after Mass to tidy up and prepare for the next service. A complete list of the duties and responsibilities can be found HERE.
Parking Lot Assistants: Our parking lot can be quite full during holiday Masses and special events. Help parishioners and guests have a comfortable experience, assist with traffic flow, and support those in need of physical assistance accessing the church.

Lectors
Do you feel called to proclaim the Word of God and the Prayers of the Faithful at Mass? Our mission is to help members of the assembly enter into the power of God's Word by serving as a lector during weekend and Holy Day Masses. Most of the preparation for this ministry occurs well before the first word is spoken. You do not have to heave prior or extensive public speaking experience to participate.
Ministry Expectations:- Volunteers should be comfortable speaking to a large group.
- Attend a 45 minute training session.
- Commit to at least one weekend Mass time slot.
- Agree to practice and be prepared prior the scheduled service.
- Arrive 10-15 minutes prior to the assigned Mass and check in at the kiosk and with the presiding priest.
Scheduling:
- Schedules cover a 3-month time period.
- Preferred Mass times, availability,and substitute requests can be set through the MSP scheduling system.
Our parish deeply appreciate the time and talent freely given by these dedicated individuals. Our service makes the Mass a very prayerful and reverent experience. We invite you to join us in this very rewarding ministry by contacting the coordinator or completing the volunteer inquiry form below.

Altar Servers
God's love is made visible through the service we provide to the celebrating priest in the sacrifice of the Mass. All baptized and practicing Catholics 6th grade through high school graduation are invited to participate. Youth Altar Server schedule rotation includes the majority of the Mass times (dependent on individual Server preferences). Adult Altar Server schedule rotation is for the 7:15 Mass on Sundays.
After training is complete servers can request their preferred Mass time and frequency through our online scheduler (MSP). Altar servers are also able to receive additional training for special occasions (i.e. weddings, funerals, and Christmas and Easter Masses).

Music Ministry
Are you blessed with musical ability, either as a vocalist or musician? This ministry team prepares for and leads the assembly in traditional song prayer during the 5:00 PM (Saturday), 8:45 AM and 10:30 AM Masses. If you are interested in more contemporary music, you are invited to our 12:15 PM and 6:00 pm Sunday Masses.
