IWAA
The mission of the Incarnate Word Athletic Association is to help provide a Catholic environment for all youth who wish to participate in sports activities and learn how to apply Christian principles to sports-related situations.
The IWAA provides the following sports:- West County CYC Soccer (2nd-8th grade)
- IW Training League Soccer (K-1st grade)
- West County CYC Volleyball (3rd-8th grade)
- West County CYC Basketball (3rd-8th grade)
- IW Training League Basketball (K-2nd grade)
- West County CYC Baseball/Softball (1st-8th grade)
- IW Training League Baseball/Softball (PreK-K)
- Track (K-8th grade)
- Golf (2nd-8th grade)

Incarnate Word Parish Athletic Association Open Positions
Volunteers are needed for the following open positions on the Incarnate Word Athletic Association Board.

Softball/Baseball Rep
The Softball/Baseball Rep plans the spring season for 1st thru 8th grades. Tasks include representing IW at Archdiocese CYC baseball/ softball meetings in the off season, attending IWAA quarterly board meetings, working with the IW sports administrator to find coaches and define teams, submitting field and team conflicts to CYC, assisting with equipment distribution, maintaining IW baseball/ softball master field schedule, working with Umpire Rep and Field Manager to ensure fields are ready for games, managing reschedule requests, and supporting coaches with requests/ questions. This job can be done by one person or can be a shared responsibility between two people. The benefits include working with wonderful coaches, supporting the parish in your stewardship role and your children receive IW CYC sports free of charge for the year of your service.
We are searching for at least one coordinator to assist the current rep with the 2024/2025 year and then take over the following year. Please direct any job related questions to Trish Baker at 314-504-9562.
Softball/Baseball Umpire Rep
The Softball/Baseball Umpire Rep assists in recruiting umpires and communicating training opportunities to assure umpires have completed training requirements. Umpire schedules are created and managed for both IW fields for 1st -8th grade baseball and softball CYC games. The rep assists in rescheduling games and submitting information so payments can be issues for games worked. The benefits include working with wonderful umpires, supporting the parish in your stewardship role and your children receive IW CYC sports free of charge for the year of your service.
Please direct any job related questions to Sara Evers at 314-609-4350Volleyball Officials Representative We are in need of adults (age 18 or older) starting August 23rd to help with our Fall 2024 IW volleyball season. We are looking for responsible adults to support our officials during volleyball games. This is a paid position. Coaching and/or officiating experience is preferred but not required. Feel free to share with family and friends who are outside of our parish. All volunteers are required to be in compliance with our parish safety training (Protecting God’s Children and Prevent and Protect.)Please contact the IWAA Volleyball representative team at [email protected] if interested.
