VBS Q&A

Do parents need to volunteer as Crew Supervisors?

Are Preschool and Elementary children assigned together in the same crews?

How many children are assigned to each crew?

My 4th grader is not as interested in VBS as he has been in the past. Is there something in it for him?

2012 VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL ADULT VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED:

IW’s popular VBS is celebrated during the first week of each summer.  Over 250 children, preschool through 4th grade, attend each year to participate in theme-based crafts, games, skits, and more.

We are currently looking for program facilitators who are passionate about leading the daily program and sessions (Main Stage, Skits and Music) so that our VBS proves to be a fun and productive Catholic faith learning experience for our children.  We are also looking for a decorating committee who can create a small stage set, and are always in need of Crew Supervisors.

MORE ABOUT VBS...
Incarnate Word VBS introduces a fun and meaningful theme each year, geared toward the teaching of
our faith through interactive stories, games and other activities.  With 250 participants (90 preschoolers and 160 elementary aged children) and over 150 adult and youth volunteers, our VBS is truly a wonderful ministry.  Our youth volunteers experience the opportunity of leadership, role responsibility, and caretaking in a fun, faith-filled and familiar environment.  Our adult volunteers are also invaluable in their roles as Station Leaders and Crew Supervisors in guiding our children through this experience.  And last but not least, our young and cherished participants always walk away with smiles on their faces, songs in their hearts, newly made friends and most importantly, a closer relationship with Jesus.

VBS 2010 DONATIONS - THANK YOU!
Thanks to all who donated wood, PVC piping, cardboard, carpet tubes, sheets and all of the other materials and props we used for our set.  Our crews embarked on a High Seas Expedition to Explore the Mighty Love of God!

VBS 2009 DONATIONS - THANK YOU!
Thanks again to all who donated craft paper, plywood, pallets, flour, paint, carpet tubes, paper bags and even a canoe so that we could build this wonderful stage set for
2009's VBS Crocodile Dock!  Thanks for your generosity!
