Shrine Tours Q&A

Shrine Tours

| Print |

Shrine tours are planned a couple of times a year as day trips to visit Shrines and Churches in St. Louis and the surrounding area. These guided tours are opened to all parishioners and the travel is by bus. These fascinating tours have included kissing relics and praying the rosary together.  A highlight of each tour is  lunching together at a local restaurant.  These trips are a great way of meeting new friends while getting immersed in the faith that has been lived throughout the centuries here is St Louis area.

As soon as a tour is planned it will be advertised here and in the parish bulletin. The cost is approximatley $25 to cover bus transportation. Reservations are required.

Next Trip: Thursday, October 15, 2009 Depart Incarnate Word at 9:00am for Kenrick-Glennon Seminary Lunch on the Hill at Amighettis and then Bocce Ball at Milo's Vocce Ball Garden  Or - within one block visit DiGregorio's Italian Grocery, Missouri Bakery (Coolers on board to accommodate perishables)
Or buy a gelato across the street.  Imagine yourself doing just like the Italians in Italy with a gelato in one hand while strolling on a fall afternoon admiring sculpture.  Rudy Torrini's larger than life statue of "The Immigrants" is just across the street and a gelato shop just across the way!  (Remember that our Stations of the Cross and most of our I.W. sculpture is by Rudy Torrini).
