For over 50 years, Incarnate Word Parish has been forming people in the Catholic faith and serving our community. Our parishioners take great pride in being part of the Incarnate Word Family. Driven by this sense of community and ownership in the mission of our Church, you are invited to join in a new tradition of coming together to celebrate our parish family, the Raise the Roof Gala.
This is to be more than just a single evening addressing a single need. In the months ahead, you will also hear other ways our parish is "Raising the Roof" every day - with our outreach, ministries, education and faith-formation. The structural roof, which covers our heads and shelters us from storms, is symbolic of our faith in God, which protects us and stretches over all we do. Our parish is a home to all of us throughout our lives - from Baptism to Last Rites. It is our home to worship, evangelize, educate and serve.
The gifts and generosity of the generations before us have built the buildings we work, learn, play, and pray in the numerous activities and ministries of our vibrant parish. At the gala we will celebrate their contributions while also taking our own place in making sure Incarnate Word continues to grow as a vibrant community sheltered in Christ for future generations.
Most importantly, be sure to mark your calendars for Saturday, November 10 for a fun evening of fellowship, celebration, and FUNdraising. This event is not meant to be focused on one group, ministry, or demographic but hopes to celebrate the collective nature of our parish community. Look for #IWraisetheroof in the coming months to see examples of the good things going on under our parish "roof".
