Gardening
Questions and Answers
Q: What kind of work is required?
Q: Do I need to bring anything?
- For
planting, bring a trowel. The parish already has water hoses.
Q: How would I water the flowers?
- There
are hoses already in place. You just need to connect them to the
faucet and bring the end to the flower bed.
Q: How often would I have to water?
- In the
very hot summer weather, we suggest you water 3 times during your week.
If there's been some rain, the flowers could be watered fewer times.
Use your good judgment.
Q: What kind of cleanup needs to be done at the end of the growing
season?
- The
hoses need to be put away. The annual flowers will need to be removed.
The perennial flowers will need to be cut back. The canna bulbs will
need to be lifted.
