Eucharistic Minister Questions & Answers

Q: What skills do I need to be a Eucharistic minister for shut-ins?

  • You should be comfortable visiting people in their homes.
  • You should be a trained eucharistic minister.
  • You should be willing to give one Sunday morning a month to visiting shut-ins and giving them Communion.

Q: How do I become a Eucharistic minister for shut-ins?

Q: Do I need any training?

  • Yes. Eucharistic ministers for shut-ins must first receive training as a eucharistic minister. After that, you must receive training to give Communion in the home.
