Q: When is Children’s Liturgy offered?
- Beginning the first weekend of October and continuing through Pentecost Sunday, Children’s Liturgy is offered during the 5:00 p.m. Saturday, 9:00 a.m., and 10:30 a.m. Sunday Masses.
Q: Are there any fees or reservations required?
- No reservations required and absolutely free.
Q: Where does Children’s Liturgy take place?
- Following the opening prayers, children are invited to follow the adult leaders out of the church to the two fourth grade classrooms on the main floor of the school. Kindergarten – 2nd grade in room 208 and 3rd – 5th grade in room 210. Children are escorted back to the church at offertory.
Q: Are materials and training provided to volunteer facilitators?
- Yes. An information package is provided to all volunteers with detailed instructions and those interested are also encouraged to “sit-in” on a session to see first hand what Children’s Liturgy is all about. Materials are mailed to all volunteers a few weeks prior to their scheduled Mass. A training session is held at the beginning of each year and you may also call Cindy Reznikov 314-434-4201 at any time.
Q: How often to volunteers facilitate?
- As often as you like! We have a tremendous group of dedicated volunteers to keep this ministry going and most volunteers facilitate at one Mass approximately every six weeks. You choose which Mass and what age group you prefer.
