FOR
YOUR INFORMATION
Anointing of the
Sick
In
the revised rite of the Church, this Sacrament may be administered
to a Catholic prior to a special operation, in the event of serious illness,
or because of the immediate possibility of death. The sacrament may be
received in Church, in the home, at the hospital, or wherever circumstances
dictate. Catholic hospitals usually offer this sacrament to all who desire
it. Please call the parish office at 576-5366 to make arrangements for
the celebration of this sacrament of healing.
Communion Calls
Any
parishioner who is unable to attend our Sunday liturgies may receive Holy
Communion at their home. Please contact the Rectory if a member of your
family is seriously ill or incapacitated in some manner. Communion calls
are generally made on Sundays by our Special Ministers of the Eucharist.
In addition to the Sunday calls, our priests make monthly calls to our
shut-ins to bring the Sacraments. Please give us a call at 576-5366.
Communion
is also brought weekly to all three nursing homes in the parish. Mass is
celebrated monthly, with the Sacrament of the Anointing.
Weddings
Our
priests and deacons are also available for marriage preparation. Individuals
must be registered parishioners. It is important to start your marriage
preparation by first talking to a priest, before other plans are made,
and at least six months before the marriage. Arrangements for the wedding
music must be made with our Director of Music Ministry. A Wedding Coordinator is available to assist with the Church Wedding.
