Through the Gospel message we will learn about awakening more fully the gifts and fruits of the Holy Spirit and the impact that can have on our lives. Vacation Bible School 2015

Join us for Vacation Bible School 2015: Everest! We are now accepting registrations for volunteers for the week of VBS VBS 2015 Volunteer Form. Without enough volunteers (students and adults) our Vacation Bible School cannot happen! Consider taking the time to help our children grow in understanding of how Scripture can guide them in conquering challenges with God’s help. VBS Participant Registration will be available after Easter week. All registrations will be due no later than May 11 and will not be accepted after that date.

Plastic Grocery Bags Need for St. Francis

Father Tolton St. Francis Community Services is an outreach center under the direction of Catholic Charities Community Services. They are asking for our help to keep their center serving over 107 city clients home delivered meals on weekdays.  They are in need of clean grocery bags that you get from the markets when you do your grocery shopping. These bags help them to stay compliant with the Department of Health regulations for food service. Each client gets 2 bags- one containing hot items and a second containing cold items. This keeps the temperatures per the guidelines of the DOH. As each driver bags up their carriers, it also makes their lives a little easier; when they arrive at each client’s home, they simply grab one hot and one cold bag to hand to the client at their door. So we are collecting plastic bags for the next 2 weekends. Please bring your used but clean bags and put in the large bag in the vestibule by March 29.

Celebrating 50 Years 1965-2015

With great joy, Incarnate Word is celebrating its 50th Anniversary.  Many exciting events are planned including an Anniversary Mass, Alumni Party, Anniversary Dinner Dance, Pictorial Directory and History Book and Parish Picnic.

Holy Week

The holiest three days of the year are the Triduum (Latin for three days), which begins Holy Thursday evening and continues through the evening of Easter Sunday.  Throughout the centuries Christians have set these days aside as a time of prayer, special fasting and expectation.  Please join us in the celebration of the dying and rising of Christ.
